RECENT EVENTS and PROJECTS:

Dec 2022:

• Dr. Monds joins the Indo-American Association, a 501c3 non-profit promoting the performing arts of India across Houston, Texas and nationally. He now serves as their Director of Operations.

Fall 2022:

• Sitar performance – Local Artist Series by Indian Music Society of Houston accompanied on tabla by Pandit Shantilal Shah. (Dec. 3, 2022)

Spring 2022:

• New choral commission for the Butler University Chorale – Premiered April 2022 – Schrott Performance Theatre, conducted by Dr. Eric Stark

Fall 2021:

• Premiere of a new solo work “Iterations” for violin and piano at Archway Art Gallery in conjunction with an exibit of paintings by John Slaby.

Spring 2021:

• Sitar Performance: Live Stream Studio session for Wonky Power Studios (Houston Texas) accompanied by Jason Zinn, tabla

Winter 2019/2020:

• Premiere of new string trio “Stages” at the Houston Contemporary Craft Museum. This work was commissioned by the Kinetic Ensemble in collaboration with artist Nathalie Miebach.

Summer 2019:

• Performances on sitar/surbahar with Indian classical vocalist Mandar Phatak — July 15 (Live Oaks Meeting House, Houston Heights) – More info

• Dr. Monds is now teaching at The Overture School of Music (Houston, TX) in piano and classical guitar
