Teaching:

Dr. Shane Monds holds degrees in composition and theory and has studied classical guitar, piano and lute for over twenty years. He teaches private lessons in the Houston area for all ages in composition, guitar (classical or popular styles), piano and music theory tutoring.

He has studied piano and composition since age 12 under dozens of teachers including Drs. Gregory Sioles (piano), Karim Al-Zand (composition), Kurt Stallmann (composition), Anthony Brandt (composition), and Pierre Jalbert (composition). studied classical guitar and flamenco under Dr. Ronaldo Cadeu. He has also played Renaissance lute and archlute (theorbo) for Rice University
